Timeline PhotosHurricane and Tropical Storm Preparation for #waterstorage #tanks. #FloridaAquastore is reminding facility operators to prepare their facilities and #service areas for potential storm and hurricane event.
BASIC PREPAREDNESS TIPS:
•Secure facilities and service areas; ensure that unsecured objects are removed from the site or secured as they can become dangerous projectiles in hurricane force winds and may cause significant damage to your storage tanks and facility;
•Fill storage tanks to overflow level - this may require the operator to close isolation valve on tank in days leading up to storm; and
•Ensure that you have a sufficient supply of treatment chemicals for water supply (ensure at least a four week supply).
Please take all necessary precautions during this hurricane season.
